WAYS TO INTENSIFY ARMENIAN–BULGARIAN ECONOMIC COOPERATION DISCUSSED
On June 17, representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development visited the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
Welcoming the guests, Deputy Chairman of the Union, Nerses Karamanukyan, presented the organization’s main areas of activity and its cooperation with similar institutions abroad.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Relations and International Organizations at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, outlined the main objectives of the delegation’s visit to Armenia. She emphasized the importance of reviving the once-active Armenian–Bulgarian economic ties and identifying existing opportunities and promising areas for cooperation.
Stanislav Chervenkov, Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development, provided a detailed presentation of the project “Functional and Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria.” The initiative aims to attract both highly qualified professionals and mid-level workers in the services sector from various regions, including Armenia, in order to address labor shortages in Bulgaria.
Demand exists across a wide range of sectors, including: industry, construction, tourism, trade, and hospitality and hotel business.
Highly qualified specialists employed under long-term contracts will be granted residence and work rights in Bulgaria.
Notably, the project’s website, www.bgjobsportal.com, includes an Armenian-language section. Through the platform, interested applicants can obtain detailed information about available vacancies, submit their information and expressions of interest, and communicate directly with specialists from recruiting companies.
Both sides highlighted the importance of further deepening cooperation, exchanging information, and continuing mutual visits and meetings aimed at strengthening Armenian–Bulgarian economic relations.
