


An in-depth workshop was held on April 4 at the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA), aimed at discussing issues related to Armenia’s economic development strategy and identifying the current challenges faced by the business community.

On March 27, Minister of Finance of Armenia Vahe Hovhannisyan met with members of the UMBA.


On March 20, the representative delegation of the Georgian Business Association, led by Executive Director Levan Vepkhvadze, was hosted at the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA).

On the occasion of Entrepreneurs’ Day, on March 3d, members of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia laid a wreath and flowers at the statue of the renowned Armenian philanthropist Alexander Mantashyants, located in the center of Yerevan.

The official recognition of March 3 as Entrepreneurs’ Day is clear proof of the significant role the business community plays in the country’s economic development, in addressing numerous social and public challenges, and of the well-deserved appreciation of this contribution by both the state and society.

On February 27, Alexander James, Regional Sanctions Coordinator of the British Embassy in Georgia brought a UK delegation to visit the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia to discuss and learn about the impact of economic sanctions imposed on Russia as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the activities of the Armenian business community, and the challenges they have created.

As part of the established cooperation between the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), on February 26, UMBA hosted Peter Helk, a senior leading advisor at DI.

On January 30-31, Nerses Karamanukyan, Vice President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA), participated in the Regional Meeting initiated by the Confederation of Danish Industries in Copenhagen. Delegations from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the National Confederation of Employers of Moldova, and the Business Association of Georgia were also invited to the event.
