Prospects for Deepening Business Relations Between Armenia and Dubai Discussed
The prospects for further deepening business relations between Armenian and Dubai entrepreneurs were discussed during a meeting between Mr. Nerses Karamanukyan, Vice President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UIBA), and Mr. Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Dubai Chambers, held on October 23 at the Armenia Marriott Hotel in Yerevan.
During the meeting, the parties presented their respective organizations, member profiles, key areas of activity, priorities, and cooperation with international institutions.
Mr. Karamanukyan highlighted Armenia’s investment policy, legal framework, and business environment. Referring to the experience of cooperation with the UAE, he noted the great potential for expanding bilateral collaboration and broadening the scope of joint initiatives.
Mr. Al Shamsi, in turn, emphasized that there is strong interest among Dubai’s business community in strengthening ties with Armenian partners — both in terms of investments and the implementation of joint projects.
The sides discussed in detail the sectors that currently offer promising opportunities for cooperation, including agriculture, information technology, energy, and construction. They agreed to further enhance cooperation between their organizations and to maintain regular exchange of relevant information.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Abdulla Baker, Director for the Middle East and CIS countries at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
