Danish Industry Association Delegation Visits Armenia on a Study Tour

As part of the established cooperation between the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), on February 26, UMBA hosted Peter Helk, a senior leading advisor at DI.

During the meeting, the parties discussed future cooperation programs between the two organizations, the specific activities of non-governmental organizations representing the interests of the business community, and ways to enhance the effectiveness of measures aimed at fostering entrepreneurship. Additionally, they explored mechanisms to ensure the active participation of the private sector in legislative and economic reforms.

A key focus of the discussion was the importance of public-private sector dialogue and the tools needed to make it more constructive. In this regard, Peter Helk shared insights into the experience and mechanisms employed in Denmark and several other European countries.

UMBA Vice President Nerses Karamanukyan highlighted the existing approaches to public-private sector dialogue in Armenia, the initiatives aimed at improving their effectiveness, and the current priorities of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
