STATEMENT OF THE UNION OF MANUFACTURERS AND BUSINESSMEN OF ARMENIA REGARDING THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN ARTSAKH
Compatriots,
The Armenian people is facing once again a new challenge, which this time is the genocidal manifestations of Azerbaijan against Artsakh, murders of innocent people, forced deportations, and expatriation. This is a reality to which humanity and time will give its adequate assessment and answer.
History is for learning lessons. And it has proved to us that the Armenian people achieved their cherished goals only when they united into one fist and, as one united body, overcome situations that sometimes seem intractable.
Today we are facing many serious challenges: security issues, deep geopolitical processes, war and its inhumane consequences etc. And in this context, the correct analysis of the situation, the definition of pro-national goals and the consolidation of all our efforts for their consistent implementation, the correct distribution of the roles of the layers of the public, and the provision of the spirit of unity become more important.
One of the current priority issues is the stabilization of the situation in post-war Artsakh, the provision of housing, food, and medical care to thousands of forcibly displaced persons, the organization of living conditions and rapid integration on the spot․
The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia has always contributed to the solution of various problems on the way of fighting for survival of our Artsakh Armenian compatriots and today it expresses its support. Today as well.
The UMBA calls on its members, all Armenian and Diaspora businessmen outside the Union, as well as foreign partner organizations, to take an active part in eliminating the consequences of the disaster that struck Artsakh, meeting the vital needs of our compatriots who were forcibly displaced and moved to Armenia, and, most importantly, in the process of providing them with jobs as quickly as possible.
UMBA expresses its willingness to contribute to the healing of the wounds inflicted on Armenians with its structures, specialists, means.
