
The eighth meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Consultative Council on Cooperation and the EAEU Business Council took place
On November 28 in Sankt Petersburg he eighth meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Consultative Council on Cooperation and the EAEU Business Council took place.
At the meeting, the participants discussed issues of financial assistance in the implementation of joint cooperative projects in industry and cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Union with partners from third countries.
Eduard Kirakosyan, a member of the Advisory Council on the interaction of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the EAEU Business Council, authorized representative of the member of the EAEU Business Council Presidium, director of the UMBA Edurad Kirakosyan participated in the session on behalf of the Union.
Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mikhail Myasnikovich, noted that the share of the EAEU in the world economy is not growing enough, and the reason is the low pace of investment activities.
The Chairman of the EEC Board emphasized that business is given a good signal for future perspective – by the end of the year, the approval of the EAEU Development Declaration until 2030 and for the period till 2045 is expected. “This is a very specific document that removes the issues of mutual trust deficit. Therefore, those non-tariff restrictions that exist in mutual trade, I think, will be minimized,” said the chairman.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the prospects of expanding cooperation with partners from third countries. As a result of the discussion, it was decided to form a joint action plan of the Business Council of the EAEU and the profile structural subdivisions of the EEC for the further development of practical cooperation of the Eurasian business with partners from third countries.

According to the director of UMBA Edurad Kirakosyan, the agenda included quite important questions that were of great interest to all EAEU members. We were especially interested in the program of financing cooperative projects in industry, since joint work is the key to economic development.
