A Memorial Plaque Honoring Emil Grigoryan Unveiled in Yerevan

On June 25, a solemn ceremony was held at the Yerevan Jewelry Factory to unveil a memorial plaque dedicated to the memory of the factory’s founder and long-time director, businessman, prominent public figure, and philanthropist Emil Grigoryan.

In their speeches, the speakers highlighted Emil Grigoryan’s significant contribution to the establishment and development of Armenian jewelry and diamond processing industries. They emphasized his organizational skills, his efforts in shaping professional personnel, his public activities, and his numerous charitable and patriotic initiatives.

As a founding member of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia and a member of its Presidium, as well as the initiator of the establishment of the Armenian Jewelers and Diamond Manufacturers Association in 1998, Emil Grigoryan played an active public role. He participated in shaping the legislative framework regulating the sector, united the potential of jewelers from Armenia and the Armenian diaspora, and contributed to the promotion of Armenian jewelry making abroad.

For his patriotic service, Emil Grigoryan was awarded numerous state honors.

The memorial plaque was created by sculptor Tigran Muradyan, with architect Tigran Barseghyan as the project’s architect.

The ceremony also featured the screening of a documentary film dedicated to Emil Grigoryan’s life and work.
