Business in Armenia is profitable – Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen
Doing business in Armenia is completely profitable, Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) President Arsen Ghazaryan told reporters on Thursday.
Ghazaryan noted the aforementioned reflecting on Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s meeting on Wednesday with representatives of the country’s big businesses.
The UMBA chief added that Armenia’s business circles want to believe in the PM’s statement that, as of July 1, there should be equal conditions for all businesses in the country.
“Certainly, the situation will not change in one day. But I would like to hope that the business and the public administration will be able to achieve qualitative changes in one or two years,” Ghazaryan stressed.
To the query as to whether the Armenian government has become more stringent and, as a result, doing business in Armenia has become non-profitable, Arsen Ghazaryan responded: “It is very profitable, and those whose profits are already sufficient should not whine.”
