Working Discussion with the Participation of Manufacturing Companies
On July 22, a working discussion was held at the “Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Yerevan” organized by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia. Member organizations of the Union and major manufacturing companies were invited to participate.
The agenda focused on issues related to the new regulation for the application of QR tax stamps and the business community’s stance on upcoming changes to the Tax Code.
According to UMBA Vice President Nerses Karamanukyan, the new QR stamp regulations and the arising issues have been repeatedly discussed on various platforms of the Union. The most problematic regulations have been identified and submitted to relevant government authorities. However, there are still outstanding issues that require review and resolution. These particularly concern the monopoly provision of services by a single company, its pricing policy, protection of trade secrets, and additional expenses that companies are compelled to incur.
Participants also addressed difficulties related to process automation, the lack of certain standards, the need for proper licensing of service providers, and pricing policy.
As a result of detailed discussions on the agenda items, company representatives agreed to compile the raised issues, proposed solutions, and possible approaches into a single package and present it to the executive authorities.
