

On 20th of April Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia and the China Foreign Trade Center, according to which the parties intend to promote mutually beneficial business relations and expand long-term cooperation, joint projects, in particular, China Import and Export Fair organization (Canton Fair). The document was signed by Arsen Ghazaryan, President of the UMBA from the Armenian side, and Ye JiJiang, Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Center, Deputy Secretary General of the Canton Fair, from the Chinese side.


The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia and the China Foreign Trade Center have signed a cooperation agreement, on assistance of the organization and awareness of the China Import-Export Fair known as Canton Fair.

April 11, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan, and Vice President of the Union Nerses Karamanukyan.


The project “Green textile for the sustainable economy of Europe” was officially launched on December 1st, 2021. It is being funded by Eurochambers within the framework of EU4B Connecting Companies project ENI/2019/411-865, and is jointly implemented by Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA) and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA).


The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia yesterday hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovenia to Armenia Tomaz Mencin, who also manages his country’s diplomatic representations in Ukraine and Georgia (seat in Kyiv). Mencin was accompanied by Honorary Consul of Slovenia in Armenia Ruben Astvatsatryan.


Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has initiated a series of meetings with business community representatives to discuss issues related to economic activity and the restoration of the investment climate in Armenia.

We, American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham), Armenian British Business Chamber – (ABBC), Belgian Armenian Chamber of Commerce (BACC), European Business Association (EBA), CCI France Armenia, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-Armenia, Hellenic - Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia express our strong concern at the large-scale attack along the entire line of contact of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) using heavy artillery, tanks, aircraft and missiles by the dictatorial regime of Azerbaijan, since 27 September 2020.


On August 7, the President of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan met with the representatives of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA).

President Armen Sarkissian met today with a group of Armenian entrepreneurs and members of the Board of the Union of Manufacturers. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss difficulties and problems in the economic area created by the pandemic, avenues to address them, and opportunities for development.
